* Hire on Bonus *
$1,500 hire on bonus is for new hires and rehires that are returning after 5 years or more. The bonus will be paid out in equal $333/$334 portions after successfully completing 3 months, 6 months and 9 months of employment with Treasure Island Resort & Casino.
SUMMARY: Support the Communications and Partnership Manager and Community Engagement Supervisor in coordinating, implementing and administering Treasure Island Resort & Casino’s and the Prairie Island Indian Community’s corporate image and perception through community engagement and partnership efforts. Responsible for a high level of guest service as described in your departments guest service standards.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist Communications and Partnerships Manager and Community Engagement Supervisor in implementing Island Impact programming and all community engagement initiatives for Treasure Island and Prairie Island as needed
- Work with supervisor to plan and execute a localized community engagement plan that promotes Treasure Island Resort & Casino’s image as community leader and promotes long-standing commitment to charitable giving
- Build and maintain relationships with local nonprofit organizations
- Oversee Treasure Island Resort & Casino’s participation in local community engagement activities, including but not limited to festivals, parades and charitable golf tournaments
- Help supervisor plan and coordinate on- and off-property special events to support nonprofit partners
- Coordinate community engagement and volunteer opportunities for Treasure Island team members
- Support manager and supervisor with construction and execution of sports and media partner charitable programming and initiatives
- Assist supervisor in establishing giving initiatives that involve and impact Treasure Island guests, such as the Charity of the Month program
- Maintain charitable giving and sponsorship programs for Treasure Island and Prairie Island as needed
- Supervise Treasure Island donation guidelines and process, including Treasure Island’s online donation system
- Complete any administrative tasks as directed
- Assist with supporting Prairie Island Indian community engagement efforts as needed
KNOWLEDGE AND CERTIFICATION, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Knowledge and Certification
Required:
- 4-year degree in public relations, communications or related field and 5 years community/public relations/related field experience; a combination of equivalent experience and/or education
- 2 years of experience working for a nonprofit organization
- Experience in charitable giving administration, including working within a digital donation platform
- Experience in event planning and management
- Experience coordinating volunteer and community engagement events
- Experience creating and coordinating social media content
- Experience writing engaging content for the purposes of promoting events and programs
