Intern - Graphic Design / Advertising

This position is included in Pay Group A with a starting pay range of $10.33-$13.00 an hour.

SUMMARY: To assist the Advertising Department in the design, development and production of advertising and print material needed to promote Treasure Island Resort & Casino. Responsible for a high level of guest service as described in your departments guest service standards.


- Assist in the design, development and production of entertainment and promotional casino signage, direct mail pieces and internal and external communications for Treasure Island and Prairie Island Indian Community (PIIC)
- Assist the Advertising Department in the print, production and delivery of marketing collateral, including: sizing, printing, transferring, trimming, folding and laminating
- Complete special projects as assigned
- Assist other marketing departments with special events as needed



IDEAL CANDIDATES HAVE:
Required:
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience
- Current enrollment in a technical school or college with focus in Graphic Design
- Working knowledge of Adobe design programs and QuarkXpress
- Provide a portfolio of design projects
- Proven oral and written communication and planning skills
- Accurate and detail-oriented
- Highly organized and ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities
- Excellent problem solving skills


Preferred:
- Printing production experience
- Typography experience
